Dr. Thomas Brach

Thomas Brach studied law at the Universities of Bielefeld and Bonn. After the first state examination in Bonn, he was appointed assistant to Professor Sturm at the University of Lausanne, Switzerland (1992-1994). His legal traineeship was completed in Hamburg (1995-1997), where he passed the second state examination in 1997.

Thomas Brach started his professional career as a lawyer 1997 in the Hamburg office of Hasche Eschenlohr Peltzer Riesenkampff Fischötter, which later merged with the international law firm CMS Hasche Sigle. In 1999 he joined Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek in its Hamburg office. In July 2005 Thomas Brach joined Damm & Mann as a partner.

Thomas Brach has specialised in unfair competition and cartel law throughout his career. More recently he has focused on advising clients and litigating in the field of deregulation of monopoly markets. In particular he has extensive experience in advising and representing German and international clients on matters of national and international postal privatisation.

Additionally Thomas Brach advises clients on administration law. Here he particularly focuses on matters relating to the economy.
